One More Night At Montmartre
We directed this intro sequence for Copenhagen’s most celebrated jazz venue. American jazz icons met with three young Scandinavian jazz musicians at the legendary club where they had played in the 60s and 70s – the Montmartre club in Copenhagen.
Although the club is now closed, it reopened to welcome home the stars and to celebrate a special era in Danish jazz history. While designing and directing this intro, we pulled cues from the soulful sounds of this nostalgic single night opening. An intense and touching film sequence results, leaving the viewer between a smile and a tear.
